Ryan Giggs has signed a one-year contract extension at Manchester United, and will reach 21st sesson on Old Trafford club.
He is now 37 years old, and in his career at Manchester United, scored 158 goals in 862 appearances (600 in Premier League), won 11 Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups, two UEFA Champions Leagues and a UEFA Super Cup.
Sir Alex Ferguson on Giggs: “His experience is so vital for the younger players in the squad”, also he continued “To have the desire and the ability to play at the top level in such a physically demanding position at his age requires a special person”.
“It is great to know I’m contributing to the team’s success. I feel I’ve still got a lot to offer..” said Giggs.
This season played already 24 times for Manchester but in his opinion he still has much to contribute to the team.
