The country that sais they invented football is in a bit of a danger. Last week brought in the bigger towns a lot of riots. Young people gathered in groups smashed, burned and destroyed shops, buildings and vehicles. Football officials are getting worried because these riots could interfere with Premier League’s schedule.
Beside them, the players are amazed of all those acts of hooliganism. One of the most loved players from England, Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney said: “These riots are nuts, why would people do this to their own country and city? This is embarrassing for our country. Please stop!”
Another problem caused by these riots is the future of England with Holland game. The announcement of the game’s cancellation was made after consultation between the FA, the Metropolitan Police, the Government and Brent Council.
Adrian Bevington, the managing director said: “On behalf of the squad, we would like to say that we are disappointed that the game has been cancelled but we understand the decision and support it.”
For the beauty of football, just hope the riots will stop so we could enjoy the every week show brought to us by Barclays Premier League.
