Passing the humiliation after the loss with Liverpool, Arsene Wenger keeps it up with his position. He doesn’t want to rush in spending money. But with his position threatened, he may soon need to buy a replacement for Samir Nasri as Manchester City expects to sign with the player in the next few days.
The Gunners coach is already without some several first-team players caused by injuries and suspensions. Although, Wenger insists that is not just about going out and pick players.
He said: “Overall we will buy. Maybe people feel I am stubborn, but I am not, I just want to do the best for the team and buy the right players.”
Manchester City’s manager, Roberto Mancini is very confident regarding Nasri, but he hoped the deal could be sealed earlier: “I don’t know why we haven’t close it. I’m sure we can close it in 24 hours, maybe 48. It’s important he can play for us in the Champions League matches.”
As the summer transfer period is getting to a close, the teams must rush for finalizing the last transfers in purpose they can use them in this year important competitions like Europa League or Champions League.
