After the history, Liverpool looked like the big favourite or it could be compared with a walk in the park. But, it wasn’t like that at all.
Hull City thrashed Liverpool in this friendly. It is worth noting that this was by no means a hugely weak side that Kenny Dalglish selected for this match against Championship opposition, the likes of new keeper Doni, Jamie Carragher, Maxi, Alberto Aquilani, Martin Kelly, Joe Cole and David Ngog and in the second half saw Jordan Henderson, Andy Carroll, Stewart Downing, Charlie Adam and Dirk Kuyt in action.
The goals were scored for Hull City by R. Brady 21’, R. Koren 34’ and J. Simson 59’.
Could this be an attention sign for Liverpool?
