Arsenal denied the rumors that they would order Fabregas to attend today’s Members’ Day and dismissed all the news that they are planning to take the team photography both with and without the Spanish midfielder.
Cesc Fabregas was involved in a bit of a scandal regarding his departure from Arsenal to his hometown to play for Barcelona. Among that dispute, Real Madrid entered in the race for taking Fabregas showing a lot o interest for the player.
The sporting director from Barcelona, Andoni Zubizarreta, said:”We won’t discuss the negotiation about Fabregas. We will have time for that. We must be respectful of the club Cesc belongs to. You just have to let things happen without being optimistic and pessimistic.”
The player was criticized for leaving midway through the Emirates Cup battle with Boca Juniors on Saturday, an attitude that is not suited for a player at his level.
Fabregas resumed training this week following a hamstring injury and is expected to make his first pre-season appearance in this weekend’s friendly against Benfica Lisbon, but, in any case, the “Fabregas case” is far away from its end.
