Arsenal’s recovery

The disaster of 2-8 with Manchester United made bosses from Arsenal to put some question regarding the future of the team. In order to punish “the guilty ones”, Armand Traore was sent to newly promoted QPR by Arsene Wenger. Traore is part of a long line of players who left the Londoner team this summer. Samir Nasri, Cesc Fabregas, Emmanuel Eboue, Gael Clicy were transferred to other clubs, while Vela and Denislon were borrowed.

Wenger is under immense pressure after last stage from Premier League. He has three days to replace these players with big names that will get the team out from this bad moment.

Arsene’s first bid is on Artreta Mikel, an Everton midfielder, for which he will give money and Bendtner like a bonus. To fill the gap in the defense, Wenger has made an offer of 10 million for Alex, Chelsea’s central defender, but this will be a harder one to pull because Chelsea wants more.

To sweeten a bit the situation, the Club announced “Arsenal Football Club will send fans who traveled to the match at Old Trafford on Sunday, an offer through the club will cover the cost of a ticket to a Premier League match played by Arsenal away”.

Manchester, a blessed city

It turns out that Manchester is a blessed city in this weekend. The teams from Manchester, United and City produced an earthquake in Premier League after City won with 5-1 against Tottenham Hotspurs while United crushed Arsernal with a humiliating score of 8-2.

Shining stars for Manchester City in their victory were Dzeko who managed to pierce Tottenham’s gate 4 times in the 34’, 41’, 55’, and 90’ minute accompanied by Aguero in the 60 minute. The goal for Tottenham came in the 68 minute and was scored by Kaboul.

But this article has on the VIP position, Manchester United, which in a game against some old rivals, Arsenal, managed to win at a score that they could only dream. The party was started by United with Welbeck’s goal in the 22 minute. Ashley Cole followed him quickly in the 29th minute taking the score at 2-0.

As one of the best player from Manchester, Rooney put his name on the list in the 42 minute. Although at an insurmountable score, Walcott scores the first time for Arsenal in the last minute of the first half. After the break, the fiesta is continued by the same Rooney in 64’ copied shortly by Nani and taking the score at 6-1.

Arsenal turns to business

In a world that everything is spinning around the money, football has its own ways of making them. After they sold this summer Clichy, Fabregas and Nasri and brought the Chamberlain and Gervinho, Arsenal is close to a transfer that will bring them a lot of pluses in the popularity domain, not talking about the extraordinary financial side.

Asian market is a very important one for big clubs in the Premier League, Manchester United and Liverpool being leading authority in this area. United says that two thirds of fans worldwide of their team are coming from Asia.

Being such important spot on the map, Arsenal understood the fact and wants to take advantage of the other teams from Premier League. This objective will be achieved by bringing the national team captain of South Korea, Park Chu-Young from AS Monaco. The 26 year old player is wanted also by Lille but the Gunners seem to be a better choice, the amount of transfer will be around 11.5 million.

Another team with the same tactics was Manchester United which brought Park Ji Sung in 2005 and won many fans in Asia. At Arsenal, Park Chu-Young won’t be the only Asian. In Wenger’s squad he will be accompanied by Ryo Miyaichi.

Chelsea faces Norwich City

Premier League’s 3rd fixture brings an interesting game on Stamford Bridge between Chelsea, a first league veteran against the new entered in the big ring, Norwich City, an eager team that wants to keep pace with the top-of-the-table clubs.

Regarding Chelsea, their new acquisition, Juan Mata is unlikely to play in this match but the Spain winger, who completed his move from Valencia on Wednesday, could be on the bench at Stamford Bridge.

Other possible missings for Chelsea are Oriol Romeu David Luiz with a thigh injury, while Petr Cech and Michael Essien remain sidelined, both having a knee injury.

Talking about Norwich, they will play without defender Daniel Ayala, who is set to miss up to eight weeks with a knee injury while Wes Hoolahan is being monitored.A plus for them is the return of centre-back Leon Barnett after a one-match ban,

Nasri and his dream team

At the end of long and complicated discussions, Nasri finally got to sign for Manchester City, ending one of the longest transfer sagas of the summer. He will be paid 185 000 pounds a week, twice the amount that Arsenal offered him.

Nasri is also complaining regarding Arsenal’s supporters in comparison with City’s supporters: “Arsenal has good fans but they are not that passionate since they moved from Highbury to the Emirates.”

“City fans are on the other hand really passionate. I remember when we played against City and lost 3-0, the crow was amazing. That’s what I want.  It’s a big relief that after long negotiations and disscutions between the two clubs, I am finally a City player.”

Roberto Mancini, City’s manager is very confident that Nasri can play alongside David Silva, despite their similarities in style. He said about Nasri: “He’s a fantastic player because he has technique and mentality. Samir can play like a midfielder but also near the striker because he has technique, can score and assist.”

This acquisition is a golden one for Manchester City. With this crew, they are one of the Champions League favorites. We’ll see how will they act!
