Losing a number of great players this summer, Arsenal started to look around for players that could substitute the ones left. Getafe, one of the strong opponents for Barcelona, one of the teams that got one of their players, Cesc Fabregas, might be the supply store for their next transfer.
The player in discussion is Esteban Granero. He came from Getafe in 2009, playing in 51 games managing to score 4 times for the team from Madrid.
Arsene Wenger is preparing a very good offer for the Spanish midfielder, a sum that spins around 17 million euro, money wouldn’t be a problem for them after they cashed a lot after they transferred Fabregas and Nasri.
Arsenal had a good start in Champions League, managing a draw with Borussia Dortmund. Their manager said: “We battled really hard and we knew it would be a hard, hard game. To be able to defend well is a high-quality skill and that is something all of our players did this evening. The players that we have acquired are very, very good players, contrary to what other people have said. I have no doubt that they will show it in the games to come.”
