Arsenal,cutting players list

After the draw with Liverpool, 1-1, the loss left them 6 points behind Man United with six games before the final, Arsene Wenger has big plans about the future. The situation is pretty tensed and a lot of players are on Wenger’s black list.

Some declarations after the last game:
“We took a penalty goal in 11th minute of extension, the referee indicated only 8 minutes of extra time, the rest came from nowhere. The referee did not tell me anything and I know there wasn’t a penalty.” Wenger said after the game.
“I think there is no other team that could give such attitude and commitment like us today.” said Dalglish.

Here are a few of the endangered players: Manuel Almunia, Abou Diaby, Tomas Rosicky, Sebastien Squillaci, Laurent Koscielny, Denilson, Carlos Vela, Nicklas Bendtner, Andrei Arshavin, Emmanuel Eboue, Gael Clichy, Vito Mannone

Those departures will not affect Arsenal’s lot regarding the number of players. That’s because Arsenal’s academy is ready to give 5 new talents like: Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Henri Lansbury, Ryo Miyaichi, Kyle Bartley and Craig Eastmond.

Liverpool vs Manchester City = derby

Premier League is preparing for us another big event. The meeting between Liverpool and Manchster City, long time rivals.

Problems start for Liverpool because they will be without the team captain Steven Gerrard for the rest of the season after he was sidelined with a groin problem.

In the opponent camp, Gareth Barry, James Milner and Edin Dzeko are all pushing for places in the team after being rested on Sunday in the victory over Sunderland.

Kenny Dalglish(Liverpool): “We’ve got to be mindful of the fact that those youngsters need to be protected. They’ve played a lot of games at their level and if we are going to put anyone in, it won’t be a problem – but we’ll have to make sure we are sensible.”
“They’ll have a few changes in personnel and so will we. Hopefully the biggest change will be in the result.”

Liverpool without Gerrard

The chances that Liverpool remain for a few weeks without its top player Gerrard is a reality more than never. Gerrard’s injury is very serious. Liverpool’s captain will not play this season.

Gerrard returned to training last week after a groin muscle surgery from which he made in March. It seems that has not yet been restored, complaining of pain in the last training.

“We do not know exactly what is wrong. I’ll wait before I give an answer but one thing is clear: it will not play this season, “said coach Kenny Dalglish.
“It’s a blow to have anybody out, but it’s more disappointing for the players than it is for us. We just have to get on with it.”
“Without being disrespectful to the players who are injured, the most important ones are the ones who are fit because they’re the ones who can be chosen.”

Gerrard played the last match at Liverpool this season is that on March 6, when he helped his team to victory against Manchester United, 3-1. Gerrard was expected to return last Sunday, when Liverpool got beat West Brom 2-1.

Liverpool sinking

The Hawthorns was the host for the game of West Bromwich against the top of the grid team, Liverpool. Everybody tough that it will be a walk in the park for the red team, the facts were a bit different.
As the game started, each team took the first half of the game to study on the spot the opponent team. The real action, the salt and the pepper of the game, was about to happen in the second half.

Liverpool’s players got to the prize first, in 50th minute when Skrtel opened the score, lighting the fire on Hawthorns. Their joy was for a small period because, West Bromwich puts an equal sign between the two teams after a penalty shot transformed in 62nd minute.

The surprise of the game came in last 3 minutes of the game, when West Bromwich got another penalty kick, changing the scoreboard at 2-1. Liverpool was in its knees.

Skrtel (Liverpool):“We were disappointed because we wanted to continue our winning streak after Sunderland.”
“I am happy for my goal but it didn’t mean anything in the end. My joy would be much bigger if we won.
“I would like to dedicate the goal to my father who celebrated his birthday yesterday, so this goal is for him only.”

After this game, Liverpool is on the 7th place in Barclays Premier League, 21 points behind the leader.

Liverpool moves, success or failure?

The press in England rumored about the loss suffered by the Reds after the end of the deal when Torres joined Chelsea in a £50m deal on transfer deadline day, while Kenny Dalglish subtle move of bringing in Suarez from Ajax and Carroll from Newcastle for a British record fee of £35m.

Rumors stopped with time passing and with a vague Fernando Torres has yet to score for Chelsea since his big money move, while on the other side of the front, Suarez and Carroll have made thrilling starts to life at Anfield, with the former turning in an outstanding performance in the 3-1 win over the Red Devils from Manchester United.

One of the most important player from Liverpool, Gerrard said: “Suarez has only played a few games but we know he will be a top player. Training and playing with him in his first few games he has been strong and technically good, but Fernando in his first year with us was frightening as well.”
“But I think Liverpool are in a better position having two top forwards instead of one. I enjoyed playing behind Fernando but if you said I could have Fernando on form or Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez on form, I would take the two over one.”

Liverpool’s next game is on 2nd April against West Bromwich Albion.
