Wayne Rooney, fabulous player but big stud in every day events. Manchester United’s striker, Wayne Rooney, who scored the winning goal last night for “the devils” on Chelsea’s stadium in the Champions League quarterfinals, received bad news today from the Disciplinary Committee of the championship in England.
His appeal regarding the suspension of two stages received after swearing in front of the camera in the victorious match against West Ham United (4-2) was rejected, and Rooney will miss the rival parties with Manchester City, in the FA Cup semi-final, and the one with Fulham in the championship weekend.
Bad news does not end here for English striker, which lost its contract with the sponsor, Coca-Cola because of the previously mentioned gesture.
Known for his behavior and past acts, Rooney now hopes the rest of his sponsors will sign the extension of their contracts. In smaller size words, the situation is quite gray for the English player.
Rooney: “I am gutted to miss two matches, one of which is an FA Cup semi-final at Wembley. I am not the first player to have sworn on TV and I won’t be the last.
“Unlike others who have been caught swearing on camera, I apologised immediately. And yet I am the only person banned for swearing. That doesn’t seem right.”
“Whatever, I have to accept that what’s happened has happened and move on from here. That’s what I intend to do.”
